April19, 2011

What a beautiful sunny day. We left Lazyday's at 8:30 am. We have approx. 180 miles to our next destination St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton, FL.
Arrived at St. John's Fairgrounds at noon right behind Larry & Debra. We set up next to each other door to door. Opened our awnings to form one roof and the party began.
The following morning, April 20, we put Larry and Bob to work making pancakes for rally's pancake breakfast.
We had a private tour on the red train and went to eat at Columbia restaurant on St. Georges street. The food was so-so. Eggplant parm was frozen and re-heated in the microwave. The tomato sauce was disgusting.  Bob's grouper sandwich was a little better. Their signature salad was nothing more than iceburg lettuce.
The town of St. Augustine is amazing. It's the closest thing to Europe that I've seen in this country. No wonder, the Spaniards built it.
